Applications Management Services (AMS) practice leverage our extensive experience in enterprise application implementations, custom development and system integration projects. Among the major packages, we have implemented hundreds of SAP, Oracle, Lawson and Siebel applications. Building on this strong legacy, our AMS practice includes professionals who are responsible for maintaining client applications and technology infrastructure.



Description: Java Developer

Technical Skills/ Tools/ Methodologies:



Java/J2EE, Web Programming Skills, XML/XSLT, Web Services, Oracle 10g, JUnit, JQuery, AJAX, Struts, Hibernate, JAXB, Software Development Process, Object-Oriented Design (OOD), Software Debugging, Eclipse IDE, Defect Management Process.



NOTE: Knowledge of the following would be of additional benefit, but is not necessary:

1. Comergent Framework or any other custom framework built on Struts and Hibernate.

2. Domain knowledge in ecommerce/bio sciences.





Job Purpose: Creates user application solutions by maintaining and enhancing Java based components and interfaces. Should also be adaptable to custom Java frameworks.



Job Duties:

• Defines site objectives by analyzing user requirements; understanding existing system features and functionality.

• Designs and develops user interfaces to internet/intranet applications by setting expectations and features priorities throughout development life cycle; determining design methodologies and tool sets; completing programming using languages and software products; designing and conducting tests.

• Integrates applications by designing database architecture and server scripting; studying and establishing connectivity with network systems, search engines, and information servers.

• Completes applications development by coordinating requirements, schedules, and activities; contributing to team meetings; troubleshooting development and production problems across multiple environments and operating platforms.

• Supports users by developing documentation and assistance tools.

• Updates job knowledge by researching new internet/intranet technologies and software products; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.

• Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Post-Graduation: Any PG
