Project Manager – Java

Primary responsibilities:

• We need strong Project Management skills.
• The candidate is expected to manage large scale projects including all the phases since inception, planning and execution.
• Should be well versed with QA processes, MPP.
• Should be able to oversee a team of developers, QA, SA.
• Should be able to report status on a weekly/monthly basis and help senior leadership to generate any adequate information for their day to day operations. Should be capable of handling project independently and come up with continuous improvements
• Key job functions would include Development & Integration testing, Break Fixes, Debugging problems & providing fixes and Unit test certification
• Conduct/Own root cause analysis on all incidents and recommend a corrective action plan.
• Develop test scripts and run through the testing before certification
• Participate in Design reviews, Test Case reviews and reviews for new releases, provide inputs for Go/No Go decision
• Develops innovative approaches on Integration testing, performance optimization & automation, Build & Deployment process
• Independent communication with business partners to resolve issues and negotiate project related items such as priorities and completion deadlines.
• Provide timely updates on tasks to reporting supervisor
• Developing and maintaining standards, common processes and best practices
• Good communication and interpersonal skills are mandatory.


Desired Skills:
• 8.5 – 10 years of experience
• Should have experience in managing teams and involved in Project Management activities
• Must possess good knowledge of Core Java & JDBC APIs
• Must possess good knowledge of JSP, Servlet & Custom Tag libraries
• Must possess good knowledge of Spring Core Framework, MVC Framework, ZK Framework
• Sound knowledge of Oracle & SQL
• Experience in XML, XSD development & Webservices, Hibernate
• Should be comfortable working with SVN, ANT, Maven & RAD
• Expert in writing JUnit Test Cases, Break Fix Process
• Background in healthcare industry applications development
• Testing Experience (Unit and Integration levels) and Selenium tool
• Problem solving skills - (vague) .
• General ajax and web 2.0 technology
• Well versed with Testing Methodologies, and Performance Testing
• Good oral & written communication Skills
• Proficient in use of application servers preferably Web sphere
• Should posses sound knowledge of SDLC & ITIL / ITSM processes
• Flexible to work in different shifts including 2:30 PM – 12 AM shift
• Available to travel to US for short term / long term assignment on need basis
